The Manuel F. Ayau Society was established by UFM and Friends of UFM to honor the legacy of Manuel F. Ayau. Funds raised in his memory will support two initiatives that he was passionate about: the ITA scholarship program and visiting professors in economics. Donations made to UFM are tax deductible in Guatemala. Tax-deductible donations in the United States may be made to the FRIENDS of UFM, Inc.

Know as the wood of life (lignum vitae), it will be planted in Muso's memory at the entrance to the Manuel F. Ayau Lawn at the heart of the campus.

Native to Guatemala, these four species of oak dominate both the ravines that crisscross Guatemala City and the tree population on campus.
$2,500 to $4,999
The Maya believed it to be the axis of the earth, its four principal branches and roots connecting us to the world of gods and ancestral spirits, above and below.
$500 to $999
Amatitlán, the lake where Muso loved to live, means place of the amate trees; its bark was used by the Maya to make paper.
